PeerBlock thumb | BitTorrent Users Stay Out of Trouble Using PeerBlockIf you are using BitTorrent for downloading stuff even if it is legal there is a high probability that your privacy is going to be compromised by monitoring of some nasty anti P2P peers waiting out there in the wild for you. Only fool proof option to avoid these issues is of course to disconnect from the P2P networks. But if you refuse to take that route then you can still reduce your chances of compromised privacy significantly by using a tool called PeerBlock. This is simple tool that you need to install and start before you connect to the BitTorrent network using a client such as uTorrent. It will basically allow you to block all peers that belong to the anti-p2p organizations, fake hosts, spammer, advertising companies and some other junk that can cause trouble for you. Optionally it can also filter your HTTP traffic but this option is not required for the BitTorrent functionality of PeerBlock. Be default software automatically updates its lists of rogue hosts from the Internet when it is launched.
