It seems that 9to5Mac has got the LCD display for the upcoming and highly anticipated iPad 2 – sequel to the most popular tablet currently on the market! – directly coming form China! According to their analysis this part is lighter and also 1mm thinner than the display for the current iPad. Furthermore, surrounding frame is also smaller. According to their analysis build quality is also nicer. However, for the most important part – about the resolution of the display they still couldn’t confirm that if it is retina display or with support for some lower resolution. A commenter their claims to have deciphered the part number to reveal that it is LG Phillips 9.7-inch XGA 1024 x 768 H-IPS display. If this turns out to be true than the resolution is the same as the current iPad. So not a good news guys. It seems that unfortunately our earlier rumors about absence of retina display might soon become a reality! We will see …
