Basically what transliteration does is that as you write letters and words in English, it will convert them into alphabets of your chosen language. Now the blogger post editor gets support for additional 9 languages which is very useful for people who write blogs in their native language like Hindi or Urdu. transliteration | Google Blogger Adds 9 New Languages To The Transliteration feature – Makes Blogging In Your Native Language Easier

Here is how to enable this feature, according to the official Blogger Buzz:

To enable this feature, go to the Settings | Basics tab, select Enable for the transliteration option, and select your preferred language. The new language offerings will only be available on the new post editor, so make sure you upgrade to access the full set. This setting will affect all blogs on your account, similar to the Compose Mode setting.

The list of newly supported languages includes: Amharic, Arabic, Bengali, Greek, Persian, Gujarati, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Russian, Sanskrit, Serbian, Tamil, Telugu, Tigrinya, and Urdu. For additional tips&tricks, visit the official blogger blog.
