While you are anxiously waiting for the release of Android Honeycomb 3.0 tablets, you can enjoy Android Honeycomb or Gingerbread on your windows computer. Now I will guide you how to run Android Honeycomb 3.0 and Gingerbread on your windows using android SDK which was recently released by Google for developers.
Requirements:
Follow the following steps:
Step 1: Download android SDK and unzip contents using winrar and install the SDK manager to install the following packages.
-Android SDK tools
-Android SDK platform tools
-Install SDK platform Android 3.0 API 11 if you want to run Android Honeycomb 3.0.

Step 2: Now you need make a Android Virtual Device for which you need to select the option of virtual devices from the panel on the left side. Now select the name of you devise and a target (Android Gingerbread). Choose the resolution of the Android Virtual Device. You are also allowed to choose the size of the SD car for the device you just created if you are using Android Gingerbread 2.3. Choose the layout/cover for you Android Virtual Device and click on Create Android Virtual Device.
Step 3: Select your Android Virtual Device and press start button. Android boot screen will appear after couple of seconds but wait till Android Virtual Device fully loads the android before using. Now you are ready to your Android Virtual Device.
Note: If you get a message "Failed to fetch url", go to settings which is on the sidebar on the left side and locate the option "Force https://… sources to be fetched using http://…". Check the box and click on "Save and Apply" before restarting the SDK setup.
