IPhone 5, specification, Body and Design and Release Date – Complete Preview

5th generation of long waited Apple iPhone 5 (32GB and 64GB) will be announced in June 2011 at WWDC 2011 from 5th to 9th June at San Francisco. So far Apple has not announced specification of the iPhone 5 and it is also not in production yet but today I will compile all the news to give you iPhone 5 preview including iPhone 5 specification, architecture and release date.

Specification

Appearance

Iphone 5 button layout will closely resemble iPhone 4 including volume keys (divided into 2 keys), home and power keys, SIM card slot, 3.5mm stereo headphone jack and dual microphone. Few changes have been made in the architecture of the phone body which will be similar to 3GS. Body will be 3mm thinner when compared to iPhone 4. Due larger display iPhone 5 will have larger overall dimensions which will give it elegant and sturdier feeling. Another difference is in the position of the antenna and aluminum back cover to improve signal strength. Iphone 5 will use the same 30 pin Dock connector which was used in iPhone 4.

Processor and Memory

Iphone 5 will be 60% faster than its predecessor iPhone 4 as it will use 1.4GHz Apple A5 Dual Core Processor with 1 GB RAM. Two models of iPhone will be released 32GB and 64GB. Changes made in the hardware of iPhone 4 will ensure better performance.

Display and Graphics

4” retina high resolution display with 960 x 640 resolution will make iPhone 5 best mobile device display in industry. IPhone 5 will use advanced 3D hardware for better gaming experience.

Camera

IPhone 5 will be released with 8MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash as compared to 5MP iPhone 4 camera.

Networking

Along with WiFi, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, 3G, GSM, Bluetooth iPhone will support 4G. At present iPhone 5 will not have support for LTE but new version of iPhone might be release in the 4 quarter of 2011.

Release Date

As mentioned earlier, iPhone will be announced in June 2011 at WWDC 2011 from 5th to 9th June at San Francisco, likely to be released on  7th of July 2011.

All the information mentioned above came through online resources including technology blogs and magazines. It seems like all the information about iPhone is true but we still need to wait for the official release of iPhone 5 before these news transform into reality.

    Dein must have a S2. I think they feel a bit cheap and nasty for me personally, although whats under the hood is good and I know a few S2 users who like them more than thier wives!

    The build quality of the iPhone is better but the price isn’t. $300 is wishful thinking though, I reckon (in the UK) you would pay £599 for the 32gb device. Which is another plus point for the S2.

    Ha – i have a samsung galaxy S2 and its a brilliant phone – the feel is cheap to keep the weight down. I have not heard of anyone yet to break there S2 but loads of peops have smashed iphone screens and backs.

    The iphone 5 may stand up to the specs of the galaxy but will not surpass it.

    Plus ios5 is virtually only adding what the android system can already do.

    And yes i moved from an iphone 4 from 3gs and i am happier with my galaxy than any other phone i have owned – although i actually have to put it in a rubber case to add width and weight to the phone coz i kept forgetting which poket it was in.
