If you remember back in August last year we had JailbreakMe 2.0 that allowed to jailbreak all Apple devices including iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G on iOS 4 / 4.0.1 and iPad on iOS 3.2.1. That was a userland jailbreak and was dead simple to execute with a web-based interface. We might see something along these lines for the JailbreakMe 3.0 as well based on a recent conversation between @Comex and @GUnitJC.
Conversation on the Twitter was as follows:
GUnitJC: @comex does this mean jailbreakme 3.0 is out now since you just had jailbroken the new iPad 2?
Comex: @GUnitJC No, it will take some work to package it into a jailbreak. Same deal as i0n1c.
As you can see this tool might take some time get out of the Windows particularly as Comex would like to patch all the bugs/issues before release. It is also not clear that if it will be a userland or Kernel mode tool to jailbreak. Keep your eyes peeled for this one as we will let you know as soon as we have more information!
