Samsung Galaxy Tab is one of the more popular tablets that are available today. Many users that are in the habit of tinkering with their devices are waiting for the Android Honeycomb full SDK port. Currently XDA developer spacemoose1 is putting a lot of effort to port the full SDK to the Samsung Galaxy Tab. So far, he is not yet done with the full port but as side project has also worked on a quick and “dirty” port for the Samsung Galaxy Tab to give users a taste of the Honeycomb on the Samsung Galaxy Tab. This port should be out any day now by judging from his updates on the forum. Looks like video drivers are working now and OS is itself booting and work on the quick port is almost 90% complete. Only he needs to fix the hardware acceleration problem as the last stumbling part before the port is released for all! For the current status of the progress he is making you can follow him on the XDA developers forum.
In any case don’t forget that you will have to have a rooted device to install this Honeycomb port on the Galaxy Tab . So, follow our guide to root the Galaxy Tab posted here to get your fix!
