Nexus S is the second Android based smartphone released by the technology giant Google (a successor to the Nexus One). It was released in the end of the last year, and generally got positive reviews by the experts for being the first phone in the industry to support Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and also the first one to support the NFC technology. If you happen to have one these kiddies than we want to let you know how you can unlock the bootloader on your device in case it is locked. This is required if you want to root the device as a perquisite. Please make sure you have a working ADB installation on your computer for this method to work.
Just follow this procedure:
Step 1. First open a command prompt window.
Step 2. Type the following: “adb reboot bootloader”
Step 3. Type as following: “fastboot oem unlock”
Step 4. After getting unlock bootloader confirmation on your phone use volume keys to select “Yes, unlock bootloader”.
Step 5. Using the power button you can select this option.
Step 6. Enjoy!
