You all know that we love and are almost dying waiting for the new Samsung Galaxy S II. And why not as it is an extremely powerful beast supporting Exynos chipset featuring a dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU and Mali 400 GPU. Now there is a good news that Samsung is going to actually release the Galaxy S II with a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU!! instead of the already speedy 1GHz that we reported in our detailed comparison some time ago. This is indeed a great news that has already been confirmed by the GSM Arena. However we are still not sure that how it will effect the Tegra 2 variant of the phone. On the other hand there are reports that actual launch might be delayed for this flagship Android smartphone by Samsung, and might not be available before June according to some reports! But it least it looks even sweeter deal than before whenever it gets launched. Only thing that is left to be seen is that how it will compare to the monstrous HTC EVO 3D that will be available with a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor scorpion processor, Adreno 220 GPU? Things are already starting to heat up in the Android handsets arena this year.
