Some time has passed since we witnessed the release of the software for untethered jailbreak of iOS 4.3.1 on both Windows (Sn0wbreeze / RedSn0w) and Mac (PwnageTool / RedSn0w). Untether jailbreaking was achieved by using the exploit provided by the Stefan Esser that we reported earlier. Since then Apple has released the iOS 4.3.2 which is a minor update to resolve some pending issues. Hours after after the release we has the possibility of a jailbreak for the iOS 4.3.2 based on the custom PwnageTool for the iPhone 4, iPad 1G and iPod Touch 4G. Unfortunately that option was tethered. Some people were suspecting that Apple might have closed the exploit that was used to get the tethered JB for the iOS 4.3.1 in latest iOS 4.3.2. Lucky for us as confirmed by the Stefan Esser himself that in fact that loop hole is still there!! It also means that soon we might be able to see the updated versions of the popular JB tools such as PwnageTool and Sn0wbreeze that can do the untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.2!!
Here is the relevant information from Stefan:
Let’s keep our finger crossed for the untethered jailbreak option for the iOS 4.3.2! As before we will keep you posted on the situation.
