Switch Multitask Applications on Your iPhone Using Volume Keys via PhySwitch [Cydia Tweak]

by Jawwad in iPhone, Mobile, Tips&Tricks | 1 comment

PhySwitch is an interesting tweak for the jailbroken iPhones out there that gives you another alternative to switch the multitasking apps using the physical volume buttons on the top left side of your iPhone. There is no icon placed on the Springboard after installation but you can change the way how the PhySwitch tweak is activated by navigating to the Settings and changing the settings under the Activator tab. By default it uses the press of both volume (up/down) keys as the trigger to activate the tweak, but certainly you can change that if you don’t like this. Background applications can be switched/navigated by pressing the up/down volume buttons. Although you can also use a flick to switch between the apps after the tweak is activated. It is a simple Cydia tweak but can come very handy for some user that find physical keys more convenient to switch between the applications.

You can get the PhySwitch from Cydia (BigBoss repo) for $1.99. Here is a demo video to give you some feel of how this tweak works in practice:
