BlueputDroid is an interesting application for the Android that allows to use your device as a powerful keyboard and mouse based remote controller for a PC or a PS3. After pairing the phone with the PC/PS3 basically a green screen appears in the application that works as track pad for the navigation of the mouse cursor, a single click there works as left-click of the mouse button and double simulates the right-click. It’s pretty simple right?
There are two versions of the application – BlueputDroid is supported by the Ads but it is available for free. While BlueputDroid Pro is donation ware but on the positive side you get rid of the Ads. Following hosts has been tested to work with it, as mentioned by the developer:
- PS3: works
- Linux: works (tested on Ubuntu 10.10)
- Windows 7: not working yet
- MAC: ? (not tested)
- Vizio Internet TV: works
