Xpandr is an extremely useful Cydia application for anyone dealing with repetitive text on a regular basis. It is somewhat similar to the TextExpander application that is available for the Mac. Basic functionality is as follows: after installation you create a set of predefined text snippets and assign a kind of shortcut to each text snippet in the application settings (called macros) that are accessible from the springboard after installation. Once you are done with this, you can quickly type a shortcut and the text will magically expand to the actual text snippet defined in the associated macro. It can be used in almost any application where you have to deal with the text. This can come extremely handy for creating macros for commonly used text such as personal names, email addresses, locations, email signatures and even commonly used URLs in Safari. Application can also expand the secure fields if the relevant option is checked in the app settings.
I can foresee that this application can be extremely handy and useful for all the iDevice users that type a lot of repetitive text all the time in any application (either it is messaging, email Safari or any other app). Note that you need to have a jailbroken iPhone or any other iDevice to install it. It’s available for $1.99 from Cydia app store.
