Disable Screen Wakeup From Volume and Headset Buttons on Your Samsung Galaxy S2 (SII) [Tip]

Ok guys here is another nice little tweak for today for Samsung Galaxy S2 (SII) owners out there. This comes courtesy of XDA forum member named DocRambone. If you are annoyed by the screen waking up from volume and headset buttons than this mod is for you! As this mod removes the screen wake from volume buttons and headset buttons press.

Here are the instructions by the developer:

Install with adb or root explorer to system/usr/
Make a backup of the keylayout folder first.
Will function on all rom versions.

Note that you are required to have a rooted device. Follow our step-by-step guide on How to Root Samsung Galaxy SII (S2) Using Odin and SuperOneClick ?. You can download the root explorer from Android Market or alternatively use the ADB. Furthermore note that you will need to reboot the device after the installation to make it work.
