Samsung Galaxy S2 (SII) users can easily change the default home screen to their liking on TouchWiz 4.0. Default Home screen is the screen on which your phone will revert to if you press the Home button. For example there are users that prefer to the set the middle screen to be the default so that they can navigate both to the left and right from there! This hack to change the default home screen is quite easy to do, but requires that you are already rooted on your Samsung Galaxy S2. If you are NOT then follow our guide: How to Root Samsung Galaxy SII (S2) Using Odin and SuperOneClick ?
So, now let’s get started:
Step 1: First download a file explorer that supports root for example you get the Root Explorer from Market.
Step 2: Navigate to /system and open default.prop with text editor, and add the following line of code:
ro.csc.homescreen.defaultscreen=3
Where 3 is the number of the default screen you want - 1. So default screen 4 => 3.
Step 3: Reboot your phone and it should work!
