Fast | iOS 5 vs iOS 4.3.3: A Quick Speed/Performance Comparison on iPhone 3GS!

Well, it is not a secret that newly released feature packed iOS 5 beta by it’s very beta nature might be slow when compared to the much more polished and finished product which is iOS 4.3.3. But still it does no harm to do a quick comparison of the different applications launching speed on the iOS 4..3.3 and iOS 5 for example Google maps, iPod, YouTube app and so on to get the facts straight. This is exactly what’s been done by the guys at the iPhone Download Blog to bring us a more clear cut comparison of the speed/performance of the current and next generation of the iOS.

Here is the video and you can see it for yourself to judge that which is the fastest iOS 5 or iOS 4.3.3? Note that both the devices in the video are iPhone 3GS.

So, iOS 4.3.3 wins in every situation! but this was to be expected I think.

Please make note of the fact before making any conclusions that iOS is still an unfinished beta while iOS 4.3.3 is a finished product. iOS 5 final version is likely to be much more polished and speed optimized as till now Apple was more focused on adding new features to the iOS 5.
