We have brought you countless hacks, tips&tricks for the Samsung Galaxy S2 (SII) in the past. And now is the time for another cool one that I just spotted. This hack is about disabling the increasing ring functionality of the default Phone.apk app. All you have to do is to replace it with the modded/hacked Phone.apk. Please note that this trick doesn’t work with the VillainROM! Furthermore, you must have deodexed ROM.

So without wasting anytime lets cut to the chase!

Step 1: Make sure that your Samsung Galaxy S2 (SII) is rooted or you are using one of the pre-rooted custom ROMs. If NOT then you can follow this guide to root your device: How to Root Samsung Galaxy SII (S2) Using Odin and SuperOneClick. You can see many useful guides about the different custom ROM installations for the Samsung Galaxy S2 (SII) in the Android rooting section on our website.

Step 2: Install Root Explorer or any other file manager with the similar functionality.

Step 3: Download the hacked Phone.apk file. This is from deodexed KE7 SGS2.

Step 4: Replace this file with the stock one in the /system/app/.

Step 5: Delete the Phone.odex if you have it.

Step 6: Clear the dalvik-cache from the recovery.

Step 7: Reboot your device.

Step 8: Enjoy!
