We have seen many options in the past that allows to extract audio data from videos such as those that are downloaded from YouTube or from any other source. But most of them require multiple steps to do so. If you are only interested in downloading YouTube videos as mp3 files then you have a much cleaner option in the form of uTube2mp3 – a nice little extension that has been recently released for Firefox. This adds a little speaker button next to the Like, Add To, Share, Flag section on YouTube that you can click to download the audio data of the video as mp3 file! Everything is done in the background automatically. Actually this converts the highest quality video available into a 192kbps mp3 with the title of the YouTube video.

Of course, uTube2mp3 extension makes the experience much more seamless in case you are using the Firefox.
