LED Flashlight on the iPhone 4 can come pretty handy for some people even when you are not using it as a traditional flash. If you have jailbroken your iPhone 4, there are number of apps in the Cydia that allows to easily access (switch-on) the flash. For example you can use the SpringFlash that adds a toggle to the SBSettings.
But one of the more interesting tweak came out from a Cydia jailbreak app developer named Filippo Bigarella that allows even easier access to the flashlight feature using an app named FlashLock. It has just been released to the Cydia. Basically what is does is, it adds a toggle button to the lock screen of your iPhone 4 device that can be used to turn-on the flash. By default you have to double tap the Home button to make this button visible. But this can be changed in the settings that allows to make this button visible all the time at the lock screen. This has of course resemblance to a new features in iOS 5 that allows to quickly jump to the camera app by a button that is added to the lock screen besides the slide to unlock feature.
Here is demo video to give you the idea of how it works for the iPhone 4.
FlashLock is available for free from Cydia via the ModMyi.com repo. Just search it on the Cydia and you will find it.
