December last year Google introduced the 3D maps feature in then newly released Google Maps 5.0 for the Android which allowed to rotate, tilt, and zoom in and out of the 3D maps. Until now this feature has been available only for a number of cities such as New York City, Zurich, Milan only. Now this 3D maps feature has been extended to handful of other cities in the world London, Paris, Barcelona, Stockholm, Singapore, Lisbon, Boulder, and 11 major cities in South Africa. To view the supported maps in all 3d rendered glory all a user needs is to zoom-in to a map. There is no need to update a new version of the Google Maps if he already has the latest version of the software on an Android 2.0 or above supported device.
