Quickly Hide Annoying New Chat/Message Sidebar in Facebook [Tip]

by Jawwad in Internet, Tips&Tricks | 1 comment

Facebook recently introduced a brand new video chat feature to their service which uses the Skype infrastructure to do so. In relation to this big feature they also introduced a number of visual changes to the interface. One of the most notable is the introduction of the vertical sidebar on the right side in the main interface. It houses the list of all the contacts of the users that are currently available for chat, and can be very convenient fro the users that plan to use this feature extensively. However for the most other users this vertical sidebar may be very annoying, and just wasting some valuable space on the screen. These users might want to disable this sidebar.

Luckily for us, its not difficult at all to disable this annoying sidebar. All you have to do is to spot a dropdown on the bottom of this sidebar and click on this. After clicking, following options as seen in the above screenshot will be revealed. A user just needs to click on the “Hide Sidebar” option to disable the sidebar. Simple….isn’t it?
