Droid 3 is one of the most popular mobile devices released by Motorola in US recently. Now after some time we have a very simple root method available for this device that even noobs can apply without worries. This method comes straight from a developer named P3Droid from RootzWiki. According to the developer this method is more general and can also be applied for some other smartphones as well namely: Droid X, Droid X2, Droid Pro, Droid 2 Global, Cliq and Cliq 2 apart from Droid 3.
Here are the instructions for the rooting of Droid X, Droid X2, Droid Pro, Droid 2 Global, Cliq, Cliq 2 and Droid 3:
Step 2: Now download and extract the LINK MotorolaOneClickRoot_psouza4 file using WinZip/WinRAR or any other file extraction software.
Step 3: Then navigate to the Settings > Applications > Development and enable the USB debugging mode.
Step 4: Plug your phone to the computer and select the Charge Only mode.
Step 5: Navigate to the folder MotorolaOneClickRoot_psouza4 that you extracted previously (Step 2) and execute the MotorolaOneClickRoot.exe.
Step 6: Now follow any on-screen instructions and unlock the phone after each reboot.
Step 7: Enjoy!
