Well the Samsung event that was expected to take place on Monday has been postponed to Tuesday (August 30). However, it has already been confirmed that our report from yesterday about the possible introduction of the a “bumped up” Samsung Galaxy S II (S2) in US has been confirmed. According to AndroidPolice Samsung Galaxy S II (S2) will indeed be entering the US market with a 1.5 GHz dual core processor presumably still based on the Exynos, as well as an upgraded 4.5-inch screen. This is indeed good news for the US consumers! Although, we can imagine for some users this 4.5-inch might be a bit too much! But all it takes is a bit getting used to for most users. Although, we are not sure that how much effect this CPU speed will have on the battery.
Update: Well, it now turns out that SGS2 on the AT&T will have 4.3-inch screen, while Sprint & T-Mobile variants will come up with 4.52-inch screen size as we mentioned above. Furthermore, AT&T and Sprint variants will come up with the 1.2 GHz CPU frequency (not 1.5 GHz as mentioned above!). For the T-Mobile variant CPU details and frequency are not very clear at the moment but it might turn out to be running on Dual-Core Snapdragon 1.2 GHz processor instead of Exynos which is fitted in the SGS2 variants for the AT&T and Sprint according to some sources. Its also possible that a 1.5 GHz Samsung Galaxy S II (S2) version follows later on.
