Normally, Email application in iOS will only allow you send the images or videos from your library as an email attachment, but its not very general for example you cannot use it to send docs, music, or other types of files. We are not expecting that iOS 5 will be any better either in this respect. This is where the Cydia jailbreak community comes to rescue as there is new tool available in Cydia store called AnyAttach that allows to attach ANY file you like as an attachment to your email to send it. This can come pretty hand in the situations where you want to send some file which normally iOS will not allow you to send as an attachment.
AnyAttach is a tweak that enables you to attach arbitrary files to your emails right from inside the MobileMail application. It comes with a file and photo/video picker that is accessible via the paper clip button that will be added to the subject bar in the mail compose window. So now you can add files to your emails much more conveniently on you iOS devices on iOS 4.0 or higher.
AnyAttach is available form Cydia store for a price tag of $1.99. After the installation, you can get some some customization options in the Settings but that’s all about it.
You can find a lot more Cydia apps/tweaks in the Cydia section on our website. As you can expect a jailbreak is required for this Cydia tweak to install. You can also find all the relevant jailbreak guides in the iPhone Jailbreaking and unlocking section on this website.
