There is now doubt in our mind that Motorola ATRIX is one of the popular device on the AT&T network. This is mainly because of very balanced set of features and performance. Of course Motorola ATRIX was one of the first devices to support the Tegra 2 at that time. For sure, you might have seen our popular head to head comparison of the Samsung Galaxy S2 (SII) and Motorola ATRIX 4G. But now when we know some time has passed and Samsung Galaxy S2 is now on the US shores so the time is right for the Motorola ATRIX to get its own follow-up model in the form of Motorola ATRIX 2 as soon as possible. According to the some images and information got hold of by the BGR it seems that device is already up there in the wild and they managed to get hang of some leaked images which are linked below. Visually device for sure looks more esthetically pleasing and comes with a sleeker look as compared to the original. Although, still the device will have a lot of plastic construction but the weight should be more or less on the same level as the original Motorola ATRIX 4G.
As for the features device will come with either 1.2 or 1.5GHz TI OMAP processor, an 8MP camera with the 1080p video capturing capability and Android 2.3.5. So as you can see at this stage in time the specs don’t look significantly improved over the original but we might have a surprise from Motorola at the last minute. You never know! As for the users/fans that were expecting a 4G/LTE version they will have to look elsewhere as they device is not expected to come with the LTE support. As for the release date it is expected to be out in few months most probably around the Thanksgiving.
