cydia | Use Quick Memo iOS 5 Notification Centre Widget For Note Taking on iPhone [Cydia/Jailbreak Tweak]As we know new Notification Center in iOS 5 is probably one of the biggest features in the new release which borrows this concept from the Android world. While the iOS 5 Notification Center is useful even in itself, but the real strength comes in the form of third party jailbreak widgets or Cydia tweaks that extend the functionality of the iOS 5 notification Center significantly. For example, in the past we reviewed quite a lot of Notification Center widgets including the UISettingsWeeTwitter, WidgetTask, MusicCenter, SpringPrefs,RSSWidget to name a few – and of course WeeFacebook  for all the Facebook lovers out there! If you are really in to the iOS Notification Centre then we will point to this fabulous article:Ultimate Compilation of Best iOS 5 Notification Centre Widgets

Every now and then some interesting new widget appears for the iOS 5 Notification Center, Such is the case for Quick Memo that is a simple but very convenient widget that allows to quickly take notes on your iDevice by directly accessing the widget from the Notification Center area instead of unlocking the device and then going to the Springboard to launch an app to do so. We might see more refined implementations based on the Quick Memo concept but as it stands now this is a very simple widget but serves the purpose. Particularly considering that we can’t see another similar widget for the iOS 5 Notification Center.

Please note that a jailbreak is required. If your device is not jailbroken on latest iOS 5 then please follow any one of these guides to preserve the baseband while doing so for both Windows and Mac:

- Jailbreak & Preserve iOS 5 Baseband by Creating Custom IPSW Firmware Using Redsn0w 0.99b5 [Guide For iPhone 4/3GS]

I would personally prefer the first guide based on the recently released Redsn0w version to create a custom firmware.
