nook tablet2 | A Simple One Click UnRoot or Factory Restore Method For Your Nook Tablet

Nook Tablet might have been overshadowed in the media because of the amazing success of the Kindle Fire but we cannot deny the fact that its an equally powerful tablet and once the custom ROMs now start to pour in, it will for sure be an attractive choice for all the hackers/modders/tweakers out there – the same way once Nook Color was. With such an active community hard at work at XDA forum to unleash the new exciting features for Nook Tablet there is no doubt about the bright future of this tablet. We already brought you the guide to root Nook Tablet as well a guide to install the CWM on an SDCard to be used with your Nook Tablet for the back/restoration features. Now is the time for another very cool tip for the Nook Tablet users out there!

Note: You will lose all the data on your device except for the SDCard, so don’t forget to back it up with some tool like Titanium Backup.

We know that Android device holders used to root their devices and install all kinds of ROMS, tweaks, features and so on to get the maximum benefit. But if for some reason you want to do the opposite – to unroot a rooted device or in other words do a factory reset then you will be glad to hear that we just learned a very simple method to do so. Rather than to follow a cumbersome method to un-root your device just download the Nook Tablet unrooter app, install it, launch it and click the button to restore your device (factory reset/unroot)! As you can see the procedure is dead-simple to restore your Nook Tablet using this tool. Note that you will need to accept SU permissions twice during the procedure.

For more details and feature updates regarding the installation of CWM refer to the original thread at the XDA forums. If you own any Nook device and interested in rooting or learning new hacks, tips&tricks for this amazing device then don’t forget to visit the Nook section on our website!
