galaxys ii | Official Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware to be Released For Samsung Galaxy S2 March 1st ?Over the last couple of weeks, we have seen a number of leaks for what appears to be an official Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich firmware update in the early builds and beta form for the Samsung Galaxy S2 (SII). Some of these firmware leaks we have covered here including the latest Beta Build I9100XXLPB leak of the ICS for our beloved SGS2. Judging from this latest leaked build of the official Android 4.0.3 firmware it seems that finally official release of this firmware from Samsung is not very far. This is because the latest leaked build seems very stable and most of the features are working perfectly. This estimate about the official ICS build release date for the flagship Samsung Galaxy series device is further strengthened by a recent comment from SlashGear which is reporting that Samsung might actually release the official Android 4.0.3 ICS build for the Samsung Galaxy SII on March 1st based on an interview with the industry insider Eldar Murtazin.

Samsung’s Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the Galaxy S II will reportedly drop from March 1st, according to inside Intel from the firm, with the Galaxy Note Android 4.0 update due shortly after.

Interestingly he directly gave a very specific date for the release of this firmware update March 1st rather than any loose timeframe which might come as a surprise for some people. But as mentioned before considering the current swift progress on the official firmware judging from the leaks this claim makes sense. Official Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware will likely be made available through the Kies software. It should also be noted that here Samsung Galaxy SII firmware update means the international version of the phone. As for the other US variants of the phone Android 4.0.3 firmware update will follow afterwards. From the above excerpt we can see that ICS firmware update for the Galaxy Note will also be released shortly afterwards.

In the mean time if you can’t wait for the official and final release of the stock firmware form Samsung than try the latest leaked build of the Android 4.0.3 for the Samsung Galaxy S2.
